Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton never miss an opportunity to showcase their love to the world! Recently, the couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary with heartwarming posts on social media.
On July 3, 2024, Gwen shared a series of intimate photos from their wedding day on Instagram, with the heartfelt caption: “July 3, 2021. It has always been you.” The photos captured beautiful moments, including the couple kissing beside their five-tiered wedding cake and standing at the altar with Carson Daly, who officiated the ceremony. Gwen also posted a sweet picture with her three sons from her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale.
Blake Shelton also took to Instagram to express his love for Gwen with a simple yet affectionate message: “Happy anniversary [Gwen Stefani!] I love you!!!!!!!”
Just before their anniversary, Gwen shared a touching birthday tribute to Blake for his 48th birthday in June. She posted a sweet video montage of the two together, calling him her “everything.” You can watch a few special moments of their life together in the video below!
The couple first met as coaches on NBC’s The Voice in 2014 and began their relationship in 2015 after supporting each other through their respective divorces. They got engaged in 2020 and tied the knot at Blake’s ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, in 2021.
Since getting together, Blake and Gwen have also collaborated on several musical projects, including songs like “Happy Anywhere,” “Nobody But You,” and “Purple Irises.” In May, the dynamic duo performed a lively rendition of their duet “Purple Irises” at the 2024 ACM Awards. The song, released in February, was first performed live at the Super Bowl LVIII TikTok Tailgate event.
In an April cover story interview with NYLON, Gwen opened up about overcoming self-doubt while writing “Purple Irises.” On the day she wrote the song, Gwen was grappling with insecurities about her marriage and feeling jittery about returning to the studio.
“I had been going through those times where you’re questioning: ‘Oh my gosh, am I just getting older? Am I cute?’ In my own relationship, even though I know the truth of what’s happening today, you still create drama in your own mind about your insecurities and what might happen. I was in that phase of the relationship with Blake and getting paranoid.”
Blake added, “It’s an insecurity we both have. These are conversations that she and I have with each other: ‘Are you still going to love me when I’m old or if I forget who I am?’”
Gwen concluded, “The truth is I am in love with my best friend, and all this stuff I’m thinking of in my brain, that’s all it is — I’m overthinking.”
Here’s to many more years of love and happiness for Gwen and Blake!
