In 2010, Shelton played the role of the “old-school and perfect” gentleman. He sought Lambert’s father’s blessing, went down on one knee, and proposed during a romantic stroll. The “Bluebird” crooner joyfully responded with a resounding yes!
What’s more, Shelton astonished Lambert with a stunning diamond-and-platinum engagement ring. “It’s so much more perfect than I could have picked out myself,” Lambert gushed.
The couple exchanged vows in Boerne, Texas, in May 2011, surrounded by 600 family members and friends. The wedding featured some of the biggest stars in country music, including Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson, who graced the reception stage with a heartfelt song.
