7. Crystal Gayle (born Brenda Gail Webb; January 9, 1951)
Few families can boast the presence of multiple country superstars in their family tree, but the Webbs stand out as an exception.
Crystal Gayle, born after the family’s move to Wabash, Indiana, due to their father’s failing health, didn’t experience her upbringing in the renowned Coal Miner’s Daughter cabin. Nevertheless, Crystal forged a remarkable life and career, marked by significant achievements. Her name is immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and she joined the Grand Ole Opry in 2017, following in the footsteps of her older sister. Crystal’s accolades include a Grammy award, multiple American Music Awards, and recognition by Rolling Stone as one of the hundred greatest country stars of all time.

Among her chart-topping hits are classics like “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” “Ready for the Times to Get Better,” “Talking in Your Sleep,” “Half the Way,” and “You and I.”
In matters of the heart, Crystal married Bill Gatzimos in 1971 during her high school years, and their union has endured ever since. The couple, now proud parents of two grown children, daughter Catherine and son Christos, has witnessed Christos carve his own path as a record producer. Notably, he played a pivotal role in producing Crystal’s 2019 album, marking a seamless blend of family and musical collaboration.
