Alan Jackson is now a proud grandfather of two! The country music legend’s daughter, Mattie Jackson, and her husband, Connor Smith, welcomed a baby boy on June 20.
Mattie introduced their son to the world via social media on Thursday afternoon, sharing the first photos of the newborn.
“One week ago, my life was forever changed,” Mattie wrote, revealing her son’s name: Wesley Alan Smith.

She expressed how Wesley was “the absolute best birthday gift I could have ever imagined,” as he arrived just one day after her 34th birthday.
“There is no greater honor in life than being chosen by God to be your mom. And no sweeter joy than watching your daddy adore you and protect you already,” Mattie shared.
Wesley Alan is named after Connor’s grandfather and, of course, her father, Alan Jackson.
“You have all my heart and my prayers, baby boy. If you’re anything like both your namesakes (Connor’s grandad and @officialalanjackson), you’ve got quite a life ahead of you,” she concluded.
Her post included several photos of Wesley, including a touching family snapshot and a moment when he met their dog, Ryman.
The post was flooded with congratulatory messages, as everyone shared in their joy over the new arrival.
Alan Jackson is also a grandfather to Jackson Alvie Bradshaw, the son of his daughter Ali and her husband, Sam. Jackson was born on December 12, 2022, coinciding with Alan and his wife Denise’s 43rd wedding anniversary.
Earlier this year, Alan and Denise excitedly announced Mattie’s pregnancy on social media, expressing their joy at welcoming another grandchild.
“Blessings are overflowing in our growing family! Denise and I are thrilled for our second grandson to arrive in June! We’re so happy for proud parents @mattiejackson and Connor Smith and can’t wait to meet the next addition to our family,” they wrote at the time.
Alan Jackson has yet to comment on the arrival of his second grandson.
