The biggest celebration of country music is just around the corner, and downtown Nashville is already seeing road closures in preparation for CMA Fest.

Road closures for 2024 CMA Fest

Starting Thursday, May 30, festival officials announced that routes around Nissan Stadium are closed, including:

  • Titans Way from Russell Street to Victory Avenue
  • Russell Street from South 2nd Street to Titans Way
  • Victory Avenue from Titans Way to South 1st Street
  • South 1st Street from Woodland Street to Russell Street
  • The train station and cut out on 1st Avenue

These routes will remain closed through June 10, according to CMA Fest organizers.

Additionally, the northbound lane of 1st Avenue from Broadway to Church Street was temporarily closed on Thursday, but it is expected to reopen by 7 p.m. the same day.

As the festival approaches, more road closures are planned. On Sunday, June 2, Rep. John Lewis Way will close between Demonbreun and Broadway at 6 a.m. This road will reopen on Sunday, June 10, by 8 p.m., as stated by festival officials.

On Monday, June 3, Broadway between 1st and 2nd Avenues will close at 7 a.m., followed by the closure of 1st Avenue between Demonbreun and Church Street at 9 a.m. Both roads are set to reopen by 3 a.m. on Monday, June 10.

A significant number of road closures will occur on Wednesday, June 5, including:

  • All of 1st Avenue from Korean Veterans Boulevard to Demonbreun
  • All of Molloy Street from 1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue
  • All of Demonbreun from 1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue
  • All of Broadway from 2nd Avenue to 4th Avenue
  • All of Demonbreun from 4th Avenue to Rep. John Lewis Way
  • All of 2nd Avenue from Demonbreun to Broadway

These roads will stay closed until 3 a.m. on Monday, June 10.

Two specific closures will repeat each day during the festival: Rep. John Lewis Way and Demonbreun. From Thursday, June 6, to Sunday, June 9, Rep. John Lewis Way from Korean Veterans Boulevard to Demonbreun will close daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Similarly, Demonbreun from Rep. John Lewis Way to 6th Avenue will close from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

Finally, on Monday, June 10, 1st Avenue from Demonbreun to Church Street will close from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Starting at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, parking meters on Korean Veterans Boulevard from 1st Avenue to 8th Avenue will be bagged and unavailable. They will be back in service by 6 a.m. on Monday, June 10. Meters on Gay Street from 1st Avenue to the Woodland Bridge will also be bagged starting Monday, June 3, and will be available again by 1 a.m. on Monday, June 10.
