Carrie Underwood had a memorable and slightly chaotic night at the Carolina Country Music Fest.
Held from June 6 to June 9 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, this year’s festival was completely sold out and featured over 40 acts. Big names like Old Dominion, Megan Moroney, Kameron Marlowe, The War & Treaty, Morgan Wallen, Lee Brice, Lady A, Parmalee, and Carrie Underwood headlined the main stage.
Carrie closed the festival on Sunday, June 9, with a 22-song set that included hits like “Church Bells,” “Blown Away,” “Cry Pretty,” “Jesus, Take The Wheel,” “Last Name,” and many more. She wrapped up the show with her iconic anthem “Before He Cheats.”
Everything was going smoothly until the weather decided to crash the party. During her final song, what started as a light drizzle quickly turned into a downpour. But Carrie didn’t miss a beat. She kept performing, even giggling at one point as the rain poured down, amazed at the situation.
The rain was so intense that Carrie shared a video on social media, showing just how heavy it was. She captioned it, “We won’t let a little rain stop us! We won’t let a massive downpour stop us, either!”
But the rain wasn’t the only drama of the night. As Carrie was exiting the stage, she slipped on a small set of stairs and vanished from sight in an instant – a moment captured in a TikTok video. The crowd gasped, with many exclaiming, “She fell!” Thankfully, she’s okay.
Reflecting on the night, Carrie posted, “Well, last night sure was fun! And though the ending was quite unexpected, it made for a night we’ll never forget!”
Carrie joins a list of country stars who’ve taken a spill on stage, including Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Carly Pearce, Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton, and Luke Combs.
