“Breakup Song” delved into the aftermath of a painful breakup, while “Skinny” explored the pressures Emmy faced on the road with her grandmother, leading to an eating disorder. Emmy openly shared her journey of overcoming these struggles, attributing her courage to her grandmother’s ability to convey the truth.

Opting for a makeup-free appearance during the audition, Emmy aimed to showcase her genuine self to the judges. She explained, “I really wanted to be myself and feel like if I got a ‘yes,’ I got a ‘yes’ for me.”
