Vince Gill
Vince Gill, born in Norman, Oklahoma, found his musical calling under the influence of his father, who balanced his roles as a lawyer and part-time musician. Encouraged by his father’s passion, Gill delved into the world of music, mastering multiple instruments and nurturing his aspirations for a career in the industry.
During his time at Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City, Gill further honed his musical skills, notably in bluegrass music as a member of the band Mountain Smoke.
Post high school, Gill embarked on a journey through various bluegrass bands, showcasing his versatility. This musical odyssey eventually led him to Los Angeles, where he joined Sundance, a band led by the acclaimed fiddler Byron Berline. The move to the West Coast marked a significant chapter in Vince Gill’s evolving musical narrative.
