Reba McEntire and Rex Linn’s love story kicked off in 2020, and anyone who’s seen them together knows they’re head over heels. In 2020, Reba and Rex made their relationship public, attending events together, celebrating Reba’s son’s wedding, and even working on projects like Big Sky and The Hammer side by side. But what many might not know is that their connection goes way back to 1991 when they first met on the set of Kenny Rogers’ TV movie, “The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw.”
Reba and Rex stayed in touch over the years, maintaining a friendship that eventually turned into love almost three decades later. In a recent chat with Drew Barrymore, Reba wondered aloud why they didn’t become a couple earlier. Rex playfully blamed it on Reba’s past marriages, suggesting she might have “taken him out” if they had tried earlier. Reba, jokingly calling Rex a “wild man” and comparing him to a “twelve-year-old,” acknowledged that maybe they both needed time to grow and learn before love could truly blossom.
Now deeply in love, Reba and Rex have cute nicknames for each other – “Tater Tot” and “Sugar Tot.” And despite past marriages and engagements, they haven’t ruled out the idea of tying the knot, sharing laughter and joy at the thought of a future together.
