Shania Twain had her fans in stitches during her recent Las Vegas residency show when she hilariously mistook a prop for a microphone.

Last Sunday, while performing “(If You’re Not in It for Love) I’m Outta Here” at her Las Vegas residency at the Bakkt Theater in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Twain experienced a funny mix-up. With a microphone in one hand and a drumstick prop in the other, Shania accidentally brought the drumstick to her mouth instead of the microphone while singing.

The amusing incident, which occurred on June 2, was caught on camera by a fan and quickly went viral on TikTok. Ever the good sport, Shania shared the video on her social media accounts, captioning it: “I’m really glad somebody captured this moment, it’s made me laugh all over again,” followed by a laughing emoji.

In the TikTok video, Shania can be seen dancing in a striking black strapless mini dress, long black gloves, knee-length black boots, and a blonde wig. As she grooved towards the audience, holding the microphone in one hand and the drumstick in the other, she mistakenly lifted the drumstick to her mouth, resulting in a moment of silence. Realizing her mistake, she quickly corrected herself, but was too amused to continue singing. Laughing, the Canadian singer exclaimed, “Oh my God, that was hilarious!” She even playfully recreated the moment afterward.

This isn’t the first time Shania has handled an onstage mishap with grace. Last year, during her “Queen of Me” tour stop at Chicago’s Credit Union 1 Amphitheater in Tinley Park, she slipped in her thigh-high boots while performing “Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You).” She quickly recovered, jokingly telling the crowd, “Don’t be stupid, Chicago! You know I love you,” before resuming her performance.

Shania has been keeping busy lately, including a recent collaboration with rapper Yung Gravy, whose real name is Matthew Raymond Hauri. The duo released a song called “White Claw” on June 7. Shania shared the news on social media, posting a photo of herself and Yung Gravy in matching sparkly outfits. Seated on a white couch with a gray painting in the background, Shania wore a sequined dress with a furry black jacket and chunky hot pink boots, while Yung Gravy sported black jeans and a similar sequined top.

Shania’s fans can’t get enough of her fun-loving spirit and are eagerly awaiting her next performance—and any more unexpected surprises she might bring!
