Fans Can’t Agree If Shania Twain’s Bold Wembley Outfit Was Too Much or Perfect

Shania Twain stepped onto the Wembley Stadium stage in front of 90,000 people wearing a see-through black lace dress, with a white bra and matching shorts underneath. The internet hasn’t stopped talking about it since.

A TikTok video posted by user @simpllysara shows Twain performing “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” in the outfit, and it’s already picked up over 3 million views in just a few days. The caption said, “this was not on my bingo card for 2026.” Twain finished the look with gold jewelry, black stockings, and black heels. At one point during the show, she squatted down, and the crowd at Wembley almost saw more than they expected.

People can’t agree on how they feel about it, and Shania doesn’t seem to care either way.

People Are Split, But Shania Isn’t Bothered

On X, plenty of people had complaints. One person wrote, “Shania… why?” Another said, “She’s still smoking hot, but c’mon. Have some dignity.” Others chimed in with comments like, “This wouldn’t look good on a 20-year-old. It’s trashy at any age,” and “Sometimes ya gotta realize we’re all getting old and some things just aren’t appropriate anymore.”

Over on Instagram, it was a completely different story. Fans filled her comments with compliments about the Dolce and Gabbana outfits she’s been wearing throughout Harry Styles’ 12-night Together, Together residency at Wembley.

Shania Twain answered back on Instagram with a post showing off her D&G wardrobe. She wrote, “Little Miss Twain didn’t have anything, and now Shania Twain is so very, very grateful for all she has.” She said getting dressed by “one of the greatest designers in the world” night after night felt like a childhood dream finally coming true.

No apology. No explaining herself. Just gratitude and confidence.

If you’ve read our earlier story about Shania’s interview with the Sunday Times, none of this should catch you off guard. This is the same woman who admitted she stopped looking in mirrors during menopause because she “hated my body,” and then slowly found her way back to a place where she could say, “Bring on the mirrors, I’m going to look at myself all day long.” She’s talked honestly about doing “very unhealthy things” just to keep up with the physical demands of performing, and about learning to accept the things she can’t control.

That backstory matters here. This isn’t a 60-year-old trying to look 25. This is a woman who once couldn’t stand to see her own reflection, and now she’s standing in front of 90,000 people in a lace Dolce and Gabbana dress, feeling “gorgeous and confident” for the first time in a long time.

Whether you think the outfit went too far or was exactly right probably comes down to what you think a 60-year-old is “supposed” to look like. Shania Twain has spent her whole career proving she doesn’t care about that question. Nothing about that has changed at Wembley, and judging by how she responded, it’s not about to.

Her new album, Little Miss Twain, comes out July 24. The title track, featuring Tanya Tucker, dropped on June 26. And the Wembley residency with Styles runs through July 4. Whatever she wears next, people will have opinions. She already knows that. She wore the dress anyway.
