Actor John Schneider has found love once more, remarrying 17 months after the passing of his wife, Alicia Allain.
John and Alicia tied the knot in July 2019, shortly after Alicia’s cancer diagnosis. Alicia courageously fought the disease for years before she passed away in February 2023 at the age of 53.
“My beautiful Smile is pain-free, living in her new body alongside Jesus,” John shared on social media after Alicia’s passing.
The Dukes of Hazzard star never thought he’d find love again after such a heartbreaking loss. But in May 2024, he announced that he was in a new relationship.

“God sent a widower to a widow and a widow to a widower who gets it, who understands. Because I tell you what, I was ready to give it up, all of it — everything. Then, just when I thought the very notion of dating or holding another hand was repulsive, I met this one, that crazy Dame over there.”

The “crazy Dame” John mentioned is Dee Dee Sorvino, the widow of Goodfellas star Paul Sorvino, who passed away in July 2022 at the age of 83.
John and Dee Dee found solace in each other after their respective losses and developed a deep connection. They decided to take their relationship further by getting married.
According to a press release cited by PEOPLE, John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino got married in Las Vegas on Tuesday, July 23. The couple plans to have an official wedding celebration on August 1 at The Hollywood Museum, the place where they first met.
John confirmed the news of their marriage in a post on his official Facebook page, writing:
“Big news big news everybody! Dee Dee and I got hitched last night in Vegas! Those of you who’ve been riding shotgun with me this last year and a half or so can understand that I never dreamed that happiness would be possible again. I’m here to tell you that you are stronger than you think!”
He added, “I honestly never thought I would ever laugh again… and now I laugh all the time!”
This is John’s fourth marriage. He was married to Tawny Little from 1983 to 1986. His second marriage was to Elvira “Elly” Castle in 1993, and she filed for divorce in 2014. John married Alicia in 2019, and they were together until her death in 2023.
