In a surprising and thrilling musical collaboration, country music icon Miranda Lambert, 40, and Latin pop sensation Enrique Iglesias, 48, have joined forces for an unexpected duet titled “Space in My Heart.” The duo recently took to social media to announce the release of their upcoming track on February 22, unveiling a sneak peek of the unreleased song along with a captivating black-and-white photo of the two artists – Lambert with a contemplative gaze and Iglesias locking eyes with the camera.
Lambert, a proud Texan, couldn’t contain her excitement and shared on her Instagram Story, “Texas meets Spain! 🤠,” acknowledging her roots and Iglesias’s Madrid origins. “Can’t wait for y’all to hear this one,” she added.
The snippet of the duet, a tender and romantic ballad about longing, showcases both Grammy winners harmonizing soulfully. The lyrics express heartfelt emotions, with lines like, “You don’t love me yet, but I know you will / If you only felt half of what I feel / If you ever go, I will never change / There’s a space in my heart, and it’s just your shape.”
The teaser suggests a fusion of their musical styles, incorporating the gentle strumming of an acoustic guitar and allowing Lambert’s country twang to blend seamlessly with Iglesias’s melodic croon.

“Space in My Heart” represents the debut collaboration between these accomplished singer-songwriters. It remains uncertain whether the single will stand alone or become part of a larger project, possibly Iglesias’s upcoming Final Vol. 2.
For Lambert, this release marks her first of the year, following the successful collaboration “If You Were Mine” with Leon Bridges in June 2023. This track was her initial offering since parting ways with Sony Music Nashville, her longtime record label of 19 years, in March of the same year.
As for Iglesias, who recently shared “Fría” featuring Cuban singer Yotuel, the song is set to feature on his forthcoming album Final (Vol. 2). This album signifies the Spanish superstar’s farewell to full-length releases, following the earlier release of Final (Vol. 1) in 2021. Iglesias clarified in a 2021 interview with PEOPLE that while he’s concluding albums, retirement isn’t on the horizon. “I’m never gonna retire! I’m gonna keep on writing songs,” he affirmed, dispelling any retirement rumors.
While an official release date for Final (Vol. 2) is yet to be announced, Iglesias previously hinted at a potential February 2024 launch in a November 2023 interview with TODAY.
