Loretta Lynn mentioned enjoying “easy listening” music, but she didn’t say which artists. People like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Bing Crosby are known for easy listening.
Even though Lynn wasn’t a big fan of most country songs, she did have a favorite from her own songs – “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” It was special to her because she wrote it about her own life. The song inspired a movie about her life in 1980, starring Sissy Spacek and Tommy Lee Jones.
