Country singer Sara Evans is about to become a grandma for the first time! Her 20-year-old daughter, Audrey, recently shared that she’s expecting a baby with her boyfriend, John Headly.
Audrey announced the happy news in a TikTok video, where she and John posed for photos holding their baby’s ultrasound pictures. She added a sweet caption: “A BABY! How blessed are we. Welcoming our tiny angel this October … we’re so excited to meet you.. thank you Jesus!”

Sara was just as excited as Audrey. She reposted the video on Instagram and wrote, ““I’m so in love. God is so amazing! We cannot WAIT to meet this sweet angel!”
In a chat with People, Sara shared how thrilled she is about becoming a grandmother. “Words cannot express how excited and happy I am for Audrey and John! I am already so in love with my grandchild and can’t wait to meet the little angel! God is so amazing!”
The Gender Reveal Was a Big Moment
Over the weekend, Audrey and John had a gender reveal party with their friends and family. Audrey wore a pink dress, and John wore a blue shirt. They sat on a blanket with a white cake in front of them and turned over wine glasses before cutting the cake to reveal if the baby is a boy or a girl.
When they cut into the cake, it was blue inside—they’re having a boy! The couple couldn’t hide their joy and shouted with excitement, along with everyone else at the party.
Sara shared the big moment on social media too, saying, “It’s a BOY! God is so amazing! Congratulations John and Audrey! We love him so much already!”
She also posted a photo of herself and her husband, Jay Barker, holding the cake before the reveal. “Getting ready to carry the cake out! I was so nervous that I would drop it! Haha!” she joked. “We are still in shock and beyond thrilled that we have a boy coming to be our first grand baby!”
Sara also shared the sweet names she and Jay will go by as grandparents: “Sasa and Papa.” So adorable!
