A new report from the Nashville Business Journal reveals that Shania Twain is preparing to open a bar in Downtown Nashville. The report notes that “multiple sources” have confirmed Twain, the country-pop icon, will join the ever-growing list of celebrities with bars in the area.
Twain has partnered with Nashville Underground, a venue that has been operating since 2018. This venue is owned by singer Gavin DeGraw and his brother, Joey DeGraw, both of whom will be involved in this new venture with Twain. Currently, Nashville Underground stands as a six-story, 55,000-square-foot establishment that combines a restaurant, bar, and event space. It boasts the “largest capacity of any single facility on historic Broadway.”

Recently, Nashville Underground added a third story featuring bowling lanes, arcade games, and TVs. The venue also claims the “highest and largest double-deck rooftop,” offering a unique experience for visitors. Situated at 105 Broadway, it is conveniently located between Whiskey River Saloon and Acme Feed & Seed, just a block away from the Cumberland River and a short three-minute walk to the historic Ryman Auditorium.
Neither the DeGraw brothers nor Shania Twain responded to the Nashville Business Journal’s request for comment. Once her bar opens, Shania Twain will be the latest in a string of celebrities to establish a bar in Nashville. Over the past year, she will become the seventh celebrity to open a bar on Broadway, following in the footsteps of Riley Green, Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, Garth Brooks, Eric Church, and Jon Bon Jovi.
Other well-known singers who already have bars in Downtown Nashville include Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Hank Williams Jr., John Rich, and Alan Jackson.
