It’s amazing how quickly time passes. Alan Jackson’s grandson, Wesley, has already turned two!
Back in June 2024, Alan’s daughter Mattie and her husband, Connor, welcomed their son, Wesley Alan Smith. His name honors both his famous grandfather, Alan, and Connor’s grandfather, making it extra meaningful for their family.
Before finding happiness again, Mattie went through a heartbreaking loss. Her first husband, Ben Selecman, passed away in 2018, only three weeks before they would have celebrated their first wedding anniversary. After becoming a widow at a young age, Mattie openly shared that her faith gave her the strength to cope with such a difficult time.
A few years later, life brought her another chance at love when she met Connor. The couple got married in May 2023, and less than a year later they happily announced they were expecting their first child together, Wesley.
Mattie & Connor Welcome Baby No. 2
The family continued to grow in October 2025 when Mattie announced she was expecting their second child, this time a baby girl. Charlotte “Charlie” Ann Smith was born on February 13, 2026.

Mattie celebrated the special moment by sharing a collection of heartwarming family photos. The pictures introduced their new family of four and showed proud big brother Wesley lovingly holding his baby sister. Since then, she has continued posting sweet moments of the two siblings spending time together.
With Charlie’s arrival, Alan and his wife, Denise, are now proud grandparents to four wonderful grandchildren.
Mattie Shares Precious Photos From Wesley’s Second Birthday Celebration
On Sunday (June 21), Mattie shared a series of heartwarming photos from Wesley’s second birthday celebration.

“I cannot believe my baby boy is TWO,” Mattie wrote. “These have been for sure the fastest and best years of our lives getting to know you, you precious boy. You’ve got a hard head and soft heart and are absolutely everything we dreamed you’d be.”
The photo collection featured Wesley enjoying many of his favorite activities while spending time with his cousins and his little sister.
“More than anything you love trucks (really anything you can ride), bubbles, popsicles, your sister who you always want to hold and all your awesome cousins. You’ve got a village full of people who adore you, wild boy. We love you, Buster Brown!,” she continued.
